Vob Splitter is a user friendly freeware application designed to split large vob files into several smaller vob files. You can quite easily reauthor a new DVD by using a VIDEO_TS folder from a DVD recorded on a DVD/HDD recorder as your source. Then with Vob Splitter all you have to do is set the size of split of your source vob file to 210Mb and make sure the new file name starts VTS-01 and select save. Insert the new split (VTS_01_1, VTS_01_2, etc.) vob files into the VIDEO_TS folder making sure to keep the core files of the previous DVD. Then you can burn this folder with ImgBurn. This is one way I have found to reauthor a new DVD.

Blue highlighted files are the core files that you want to keep. All I have done is copy& paste a VIDEO_TS folder from a DVD recorded on my DVD/HDD recorder on to my PC hard drive and then deleted the VOB Files (VTS_01_01, VTS_02_02, etc).
Yellow highlighted files are the modified (edited, merged and split) VOB files that have been inserted.
